On Saturday, January 25, Bardi Heating, Cooling and Plumbing employees and clients volunteered to build new homes in Atlanta as part of a Habitat for Humanity project sponsored by TV and radio personality Clark Howard.

The home we worked on was part of a new residential area that included several additional homes under construction by Habitat for Humanity, located on a brand new street named after Clark Howard. We assisted in building and installing the framing and sheeting in the home.

We also participated in the Clark Howard-sponsored Habitat for Humanity build last year, and enjoyed the positive experience and the opportunity to give back to a community in need and build stronger relationships between our employees and our clients.

We recently received a touching message from a Habitat homeowner. She said, “I want to thank you for helping Habitat for Humanity. We have a habitat home and we love it. What a blessing you are.”

In November, the Bardi Employee Charitable Foundation held a fundraiser — the first in our new office space — to raise funds supporting the Norcross Cooperative Ministry, a faith-based non-profit that provides emergency aid and services in Norcross and areas of Gwinnett County.

We presented the raised funds to John Byerley, President, and Shirley Cabe, Executive Director of Norcross Cooperative Ministry during our annual drug free workplace meeting, held this year on January 24.

During the meeting, we also celebrated the following employees who have completed ten or more years of service with Bardi:

  • Bob Jarrett, C&E Operations Manager: 22 years
  • Jimmy Lovinggod, C& Project Manager: 18 years
  • Ricke Jenkins, C&E Sales Engineer: 12 years
  • Jose Meja, C&E: 12 years
  • Lance Nordall, C&E: 11 years;
  • Tommy Rape: C&E Sales and Service Manager: 10 years

Together, that’s 85 years of service! We thank each of them for their continued loyalty to the company and our clients.

Giving back to our community is an important and essential part of our core values. We enjoy volunteering and supporting the resources that build and improve our local community as well as the city of Atlanta.
